Obituary of Garth Wayne Shannon

On February 25, 2024, Garth Shannon from Delisle, SK peacefully passed away at the age of 77 at the Saskatoon City Hospital.

Garth was predeceased by his parents Harvey and Helen Shannon.

He is survived by his brother and best friend Dale Shannon from Saskatoon, sister Phyllis (Denis) Pratt from Sherwood Park, AB, nephew Darren (Terra) Pratt from St Albert, AB, niece Brenda (Scott) McGahey from Calgary, AB, and niece Heather (Jeremy) Strong from Queen Creek, AZ. Grandnieces and grandnephews Davis and Reghan Pratt, Nathan and Alyssa McGahey, Jackson and Cooper Strong.

Garth enjoyed working on the family farm near Donavon for many years before moving to Delisle. Garth loved to read and travel, enjoying many bus tours throughout the United States and cruises to warm destinations. He was kind-hearted and very charitable, supporting many organizations in his community and across Saskatchewan.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for the wonderful care provided to Garth at the Royal University Hospital and the Saskatoon City Hospital over the past weeks. A special thanks to Darleen Pratt and Rick Letkemen for their care and support.
