Obituary of Bill Pfeifer
On February 23, 2024 at the age of seventy one, William (Bill) Paul Pfeifer lost his long battle with cancer.
Born March 22, 1952 in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany, Bill immigrated to Canada as a one year old; with his mother, and two siblings following his father and Uncle to Saskatoon for a new start. Bill attended Holy Cross High School and worked for the City of Saskatoon for 35 years. He met his wife, Shannon Pfeifer, at the City of Saskatoon and with her raised three children; Angela (Crystal), John (Alyssa), and Jordan, and an additional three grandchildren whom he is survived. Bill was very active in the sports community for many years. He ran a men's hockey league while playing goal, was a football referee for all levels in the province, and later transitioned to become a coach for his children in ringette, minor hockey, and softball. He enjoyed time with his family, Hawaii, going to THE BLUE CABIN and playing bridge. He is preceded in death by his wife Shannon, his father Peter and his Uncle Pius Pfeifer.
Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at the Saskatoon Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Edwards Family Centre.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at the funeral home between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
