Obituary of James Andrew Forsdick
James Andrew Forsdick died on February 22, 2024 at the age of 58 years. James is lovingly remembered by his sister Diane (Lawrence Martz), and brother John (Stephanie Sorochka), six nieces and nephews Robert (Adrienne Roy), Sarah (Brad Fettis), Rachel (Chris Kanhai), Matthew (Natalie Hutchings), Geoffrey and Connor and seven grandnieces and grandnephews, Sophia, John, Farrah, Theo, Noah, Elise and Livia. James was predeceased by his mother Dorothy, his father John and his brother Robert. James was born in Yorkton, moved to Edmonton in 1975 and to Saskatoon in 2013. While in Saskatoon, he lived for a number of years at Edwards House with four fine gentlemen, John, Clark, Norman and Shaun. He also attended a Light of the Prairies’ day program where he had a great time each day.
James participated in Special Olympics 10-pin bowling and lawn bowling, loved music, singing and dancing, hockey and football. He was a diehard Rider Fan, believing at the start of every season that they would win the Grey Cup.
We wish to thank the staff of Light of the Prairies for their loving care and many kindnesses while James lived at Edwards House and attended their day program. The family wishes to especially thank Julita who worked so hard with James to help him regain his capacity after illness. We would also like to thank the staff of Luther Special Care Home and Home Instead for supporting James during the past 3 months. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Light of the Prairies.
James’ family and friends will gather to celebrate his life in the spring of 2024.
