My thoughts are with Chris's family and friends. I only knew Chris for a short period of time and his strength and determination to keep moving forward in life and to make a difference in the world will be forever an inspiration to me.

I already posted but I wanted to add that Chris was NEVER a hard person to love, and I will miss him so much. I can't speak about him without crying and feeling an immense sadness. He was the best boxing coach and friend that have had the honor of spending an extended amount of time with. He is so loved.

When I was younger Chris was my boxing coach. And I looked up to him so much, I wish I could've saved him. I was in active addiction with him, I was also in treatment with him, he wanted so bad to get away from that lifestyle. But I tell you what he was a good man, he tried his very best, but the devil kept catching up with him. He never would say no to helping a person out. I can't share any moment that he didnt help me out in my time of need. He really was trying. I was so thrilled.to see him in treatment. He was trying, I can't stress that enough. I don't want people to get the wrong idea because again he was trying. I will be we forget him he was a great person. And he loved his family so so much. Cya later Chris I will never forget you.!!! I will keep on this sober train with you always in my thoughts. Cya buddy I love you

Outside the ring, Chris was a sensitive, intelligent, creative force--always in the pursuit of justice. Inside the ring, he gave Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield all they could handle--and then some. I am proud to have been his friend.

An admirable trait of Chis is that he had far above average strengths. I would think he likely developed those as a way to try to counterbalance against what one has when one is human - flaws and challenges. Perhaps that would explain his drive to work himself incredibly hard, on both a physical level, and a mental level. Goodbye my friend, but of course, only for now.

My sincere condolences to you all. I remember Chris, from the times that Jean-Paul my son and Chris would be hanging out in our back yard. He gave me one of his trading cards. How proud you must have been of him, then, and later as he went on doing so much good. Again, my sincere condolences.
