Henry touched the lives of so many. I considered him my "grandpa in the city" when I moved to Saskatoon and started taking my car to him for maintenance - I'm sure many felt the same. Henry gave me endless advice on new vehicle purchases, real estate, and life in general. He is so greatly missed.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Henry’s passing. I met him as many did…through a recommendation when looking for a garage. Over the years I would stop in without vehicle issues to have a chat. Henry had a genuine interest in everyone and everything. He was truly salt of the earth.

I was heart broken when I heard the news of Henry's passing. I have known Henry for 30 years which is as long as I took my vehicles to him for service. He was a kind, generous, respected man and went out of his way for you no matter how much the trouble. In my opinion there is no other business that can or will ever be up to the standards he set for himself and his business. All his staff were exceptional as well. I will very much miss our chats we had. Rest In Peace Henry.

I was very saddened to hear of Henry’s passing. He was such a kind and pleasant man. He has taken care of my vehicles for almost 20 years and I always knew that I would be well taken care of. I cannot imagine not seeing him every 5,000 km. The world has lost a good one. My sincere condolences go out to his wife and family.

It was a pleasure to deal with Henry on all our vehicles. He was so smart about them and always had good advice and a kind word. He literally serviced my extended family and their vehicles and took great care of my elderly mom and anyone he came into contact with. He always joked about my 2012 Toyota still only having 95,000 km.And I joked with his help I planned on driving it forever. It will be a huge change and loss to not see his face...The world always seems dimmer when you lose a kind soul which Henry was .I will be thinking of all his family and friends.

My heart is broken hearing this news. Henry was such a kind hearted man whom we trusted to care for our company vehicles as well as our personal ones. Henry was just a breath of fresh air. He would know it was me everytime I needed his help just by the sound of my voice and would make our needs his priority. You will forever be remembered at SAI (Saskatchewan Alternative Initiatives) as our mechanic and by me Amanda as the sweetest, most honest, and patient man especially when I needed vehicle guidance. May you rest in peace my dear friend ❤️

Henry wasn't just a reliable, honest mechanic for SAI.....he was a friend to our support people as well as the individuals we support. He cared about people, especially those who live with disabilities. He always showed us kindness and helped us put with our company vehicles and never missed an opportunity to see how we were all doing. Some art that our folks painted was hung in his shop, with pride! We will miss you my friend

I’m so very sad to hear about Henry’s passing. He was such a wonderful man. He was always so great to me and my family. When I was 25 my clutch burned out driving through Roger’s Pass. I was stranded in Revelstoke and had to get an unknown mechanic to fix my vehicle. Henry took the time to talk me through exactly what they would need to fix and what a reasonable charge would be. Not only did he help me avoid being taken advantage of, he was so compassionate! Only gently chiding that perhaps I should have talked to him before taking my old clunky vehicle through the mountains. He also pop by my place once and switched out a broken windshield wiper for free. It was such a kindness. I read a saying the other day that “it’s a blessing to be a blessing.” Henry lived that through and through.

Just shattered to hear about Henry. Our condolences to all the family. My dad hired Henry to work at Auto Clearing and over the years Henry and I had many conversations about that and other life things. He was one of a kind and we had this running commentary about me contributing to his vacation fund every time I paid his bill. All done in jest. All our family went to Henry for vehicles and other advice. His loss will be felt by many. He was truly a unique individual and I will miss him very much. Rest in peace sir.
