I have many wonderful memories of Judy from us working together in Aberdeen school and from our longstanding friendship. She was always very proud of her Scottish connections and I will really miss her and her wry sense of humour. R.I.P. my friend.

Even though I taught with Judy and Der many years ago, Judy always kept in touch with her annual Christmas letter and several visits to Nova Scotia. I can still hear Judy chuckle when I would mispronounce Saskatchewan! Very sorry for your loss Der! Fondly remembering Judy,
Val and Paul Bates

I graduated in 1988. The unreal thing is that Mrs. C is the only teacher with which I can remember an exact moment in time. My lasting memory is of her making me wash my hands after coloring one black with marker. I think I was in grade 5. She scolded me and tried to explain the health complications from what I had done. I was a timid child and scared of her at the time. At that time I thought of her as a very strict teacher.
Over the years I spent many a spare in her library and we grew, what I believe, was a real respect for one another. She may have seemed strict at the beginning but in the end I thought of her as a teacher that truly cared about students development into productive adults. Rest in peace Mrs. C.

A lot of school memories included Mrs. C. She was always fair but firm and had favourites that she helped out a little more than others. She was a permanent fixture in the library and taught us art among other things. She was a favourite teacher of many and I can't even think about chocolate covered almonds and the yearbook without thinking of her. I've been out of school for 35+ years and she is still a part of the great memories of those years. A true testament to the amazing lady she was. I hope Mr. C finds comfort in knowing she touched so many lives and may she rest now. Deepest condolences and healing prayers to her family and all that knew her.
A grateful student
