Bruce came to me at Manitou Beach two years ago. He was looking for a place to rent. I happened to have a guest house for rent.
He was very happy to find me. We hit it off right away. As if we were old friends. He moved in right away.
Bruce started coming here in the summer for the healing waters. During his time here, he was busy in the music scene.
And busking by the beach was his favourite as he got to mingle with tourists and locals.
He performed at Danceland on Toony Nights. He would be dancing too. He said movement is good you.
He was a social butterfly and loved life.
I will miss our trips to Watrous. Our stops were at the health store, Pepper Tree for coffee and the butcher shop for baby liver.
Bruce really loved baby calf liver. He said it’s cheap meat and it’s full of iron.
Bruce was full of knowledge and always had something to share.
He had a kind, loving heart.
Rest in Peace, Bruce.
Your friend,
Shirley

Bruce walked in my little what not shop one day and we immediately became friends. Both of us identifying with the value of a home base. I invited him to share some land that was to be turned into an wilderness resort one day. Berries herbs and mushrooms galore. Sometimes we would share in a raw egg shooter, carefully removing the whites and slamming back the yoke. The yoke contained something for his eyesight. We had some good laughs and in depth conversations. Old soul wisdom chats.

I met Bruce at Seekers Books in Toronto in one of the popular hip areas called The Annex- where people came to seek.
He was often found behind the counter 99 percent of the time smiling gesturing and teaching with people and often 4-5 women hanging on to his every word. I was always amazed at all of them giving him hugs always! Maybe that’s what made him smile! Guys gave him hugs too, but it was his preference, I think that women gave hugs and that made him happy! It was genuine. He was like a wise old wizard to me, but not quite old yet; and he knew how to speak to you as if he knew what you needed to hear. I’m glad we met. Thank you Bruce!

Only got to know him for a couple years. Wish it had been for longer.
