Obituary of Sylvia Esther Kohut

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that on the night of Saturday, January 6, 2024, Sylvia Kohut passed away peacefully of natural causes. 

She will be sadly and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was a wonderful woman and will be well remembered. 

Sylvia is predeceased by Peter, her loving husband of 42 years. 

As a young woman she was an athlete, in her middle years as a mother she actively supported her 4 athletic children and as a senior she enjoyed interaction with family and friends.  Her favourite pastime was playing cards especially Bridge.  For her whole life she was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.  Bright and funny, stubborn and strong, loving and loved. 

Sylvia leaves behind her oldest son David and his 3 sons Mitchell, Jordan and Evan; second son Randy (Barb) and his 2 daughters Jen (Crystal Michell-Kohut) and Jes (Jose); daughter Nancy (Scott) and their son Cody (Shannon) and great granddaughters Radyln and Remaya; and youngest son Gord (Rhonda) and their son Quinn (Brittanny) and great granddaughter Braylinn. 

A memorial service for Sylvia will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Saskatoon Funeral Home Chapel (338 4^th Avenue N).  Following the service all guests are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at the Parktown Hotel South Dining Room from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
