Rod Bouvier

October 1, 1936 – December 19, 2023

Rod Bouvier, age 87, born in Gravelbourg, SK., passed away on December 19, 2023 with family by his side.

Rod is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth; sons David (Doug Coutts) of Edmonton and Jeff of Melville; sisters Colleen Bouvier of Vancouver and Colette (Marvin) Storrow of Vancouver.  Rod was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Josephine Bouvier.

Hockey was very important to Rod.  He spent many years coaching and volunteering with the SAHA, CAHA, NSJHL and the Sask First hockey program.  Rod had a long career with the Saskatchewan Research Council.  Upon retirement, summers were spent at the family cottage in Palliser Park at Lake Diefenbaker.  Rod had a love for animals and always had a special place in his heart for the family cats.

The family wishes to express many thanks to Dr. Hey, Dr. Walker, our special friend Nancy, Brittany from Home Care and to all the amazing staff at the Hospice at Glengarda for their care and compassion for Rod.  As per Rod’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
