I first met Steve in Grade 9 and we were instant friends. We would drive all over in his pride and joy, a blue Toyota Corolla (I think) He was a good friend with a wicked sense of humour. He was always cracking jokes and poking fun with everyone. I think it was Gr.10 when Bob Misellbrook (sp?) got the group of us (John Woodley, Brad Hubbard, Steve, and myself) involved in the photography club and the rest is history :). In closing, I'd like to offer my condolences to Steve's family. He was truly kind, gentle and wonderful man.

To you Sherri, your children and Steve’s siblings (Doug, Bruce, Diane, Don and Jason), who I grew up with till we moved away to Prince George.
I am so sorry to hear about Steve’s passing. My heart hurts for you and your family. I remember Steve being so much like our Grandma, Louise Voth…kind, calm, patient and never saying a bad thing about anyone! I’m so glad we were able to have that visit when we brought my dad to Sask.
I hope you can find comfort in knowing that Steve is now in the presence of other family members…like my 2 brothers, Monty and Terry. I imagine they’re having a beer, telling bad jokes and everyone around is listening to that “Voth” laugh. ❤️

Dear Sherry , Sabrina, Melissa and Sara
We are so proud to have been able to call Steve our friend. It is impossible to list all our treasured memories from over the decades of our friendship but here are our favourites : The trips to Waskesiu with our hot rod and antique vehicles are forever captured by his photography skills…and we will treasure those photos forever. The time we spent at the Draggins clubhouse working on our cars …sharing our mechanical knowledge, building displays for shows, scheming at pranks and just general fun.
We will miss you Steve ! Our deepest sympathy to you Sherry and your family.

Dear Sherry and family ... I was so sad to hear of Steve's passing. I haven't seen you since I left Saskatoon in 2016 (now in Victoria) but I have SO many memories of all the wonderful help Steve gave me over the years to print Courtney's images, especially for the Pool of Possibilities exhibition at the Mendel in 2011. Steve was always incredibly patient and his technical prowess was superb. ... and you backed up all of that with excellent framing and organizing at F11. I am forever grateful, and sending you many heartfelt wishes at this difficult time.. Sherrill Miller

I am so, so sorry to hear about Steve's passing.
I remember so well, the annual Drysdale family pictures that were taken every year for 40 years.
Steve and Gene were the very best professionals at taking family pictures from the time the kids were small at the studio on 2nd Avenue, at their studio on Quebec Avenue and even in our back yard. In the later years, when Steve was the only photographer, it was just like a family visit, going for a sitting on a Saturday morning. We would all chat and joke with Steve and Sherry and hated leaving.
Thanks for the great memories, my friend.
Don Drysdale and family.
