Obituary of Arlene June Walker
Arlene June Walker (nee Lister), a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023 in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. with family by her side after a long battle with cancer.
Arlene was born in Moose Jaw, SK. on June 9, 1948. She attended elementary and high school in Moose Jaw and then completed her X-Ray technician there. She went on to work in Wawa Ontario, Regina and Swift Current.
Arlene enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was involved with the United Church, Girl Guides, her children’s band trips and often volunteered her time at the Doc’s Town Tea House in Swift Current.
Arlene was predeceased by her father, Joseph Lister; mother, Florence Lister (nee Williams); step-father, John Fearnside; and brother, David Lister.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Gary Walker; son, Blaine Walker (Karen); daughter, Jill Proctor (Brendan); and her grandchildren, Taylor, Wyatt, Lauren, Arthur, and Richard. She is also survived by her brothers, Garry Lister (Cathy) of Regina and Bob Lister (Shirley) of Lloydminster; and her sister, Joanne Holmes (Wade) of Whitehorse; as well as her pet dog, Maddy.

At the request of Arlene a Graveside Service will be held in June of 2024 in Saskatoon, SK.
