As a physics lab instructor, I appreciated working with Don when he taught our first year honours physics course. I also enjoyed helping him interpret some astronomical effects on his auroraal data from the south pole. He was a great leader in our department. We will miss him.

Barbara, I'm very sorry to hear of Don's passing. I worked with him at Fort Churchill as a Summer Student in 1961 and then continued to Western where I knew him as a fellow graduate student. At all times, he was a wonderful person to know: he was a fine gentleman.
