My Memories of Mom,
My favourite memory of Mom was our combined love of horses. She was one of the main driving forces behind me getting my first horse and that continued through the last 40 years. We shared many years watching the horse shows and races on TV.
She was my best friend and supporter. I could always count on her to be supportive no matter what I did.
My best memories are from Norman Crescent, and all the celebrations, her cooking, and her singing. Many a time I could hear her singing, as she prepared meals, baked or just cleaning up the kitchen. She was always there for us after school and we shared many a cup of coffee as we talked about our day.
Maryann and I enjoyed the visits out to the acreage, as she always loved seeing the animals and giving the horses treats. She also added some of her creative skills to our place, by creating ceramic statues and her skillful artwork to our walls and cabinet doors.
My best memory of Mom was her love…it was unconditional. Love you, Mom! ❤️

Memories of Miss Betty
I am writing this today to share my memories of Betty and the life I was able to share with her, a dear friend and my mother-in-law.
Life does have a way of bringing people that you need into your life. I called her “Miss Betty”. She was my own Martha Stewart inspiration. She showed me how important it is to make all the celebrations we share a way to make the people who entered your home feel special and create a lasting impression. Betty made it seem effortless.
Miss Betty gave me a copy of “Betty’s Favorites”. Betty Favorites is collection of her most liked recipes. A collection of nourishments tried and passed on by friends and family over the years.
As the time passed in our life, I learned that Betty loved to read books and play games. Betty shared many a book with me and I thank you for that today. Miss Betty and Grandma Penny played Cryptoquip, a game that was in the local newspaper. Because of their love for the game it has become something that I still play today.
I learned that Betty loved the Royal Family and had a great love for horses. We like to share the Kentucky Derby Day together in our home. I have enjoyed many a horse calendar, pictures of horses who held their head high. Arabians, I think one of her favorite.
As the years continued I saw Betty utmost change when she moved into Heritage Place. She just entered a world that made her shine. All of Betty’s organizational skills made it easy to inspire people to volunteer and committees to succeed in making Heritage Place a sweeter place to live. Betty was able to show her skills as a decorator, host and public speaker. It was listening to her practice a speech that I saw the Witty Betty show her sense of humor as an entertainer and leader.
Thank you always for letting me be a part of your life and your creativity. I am grateful for all the things you can see that made you who you were and those shared by you from the heart.
Come Visit Soon Miss Betty.
