We are truly sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. Our connections stretch way back to church youth group events with Ron (and those endless confirmation classes) and high school with Karen and then reconnecting when we all ended up in Saskatoon at about the same time in the early ‘80s. Ron’s passing shook us and we were grateful Karen had such a strong and loving family to lean on.
Up until we left Saskatoon’s north end several years ago, we would often run into Karen and usually managed to share a cold beverage and a warm conversation. She and Ron were like that - it didn’t matter how long it had been since you saw them last, they just opened their arms and hearts and the friendship flowed. Often the very conversations picked right up where we had left off.
Be comforted by the condolences you receive. We share your sadness but more importantly, we embrace those wonderful and joyous memories of lives lived in love and will keep them forever.
