Daena Shane Giannios (Boyenko)

January 4th, 1990 - August 6th, 2023

Daena was born on January 4th 1990 in Saskatoon Sk.

She is survived by her husband Perry Giannios. Children: Cole, Theodore and Dion. Parents: Barbara Maclean & Richard Boyenko as well Sisters, Shyla & Joelle and brother Spencer. Grandparents; Sylvie Francoeur & Peter Boyenko. Auntie Patty Boyenko, Auntie Lila & Uncle Jim Fleming, Uncle Jerry & Auntie Karen Fehr. As well the extended Giannios Family. She is predeceased by her uncles Douglas Fehr & James Boyenko.

Daena taught us all some fundamental lessons while she made her short journey through life. Patience, kindness, love and compassion being just a few of them. She loved with all her heart.

During life Daena accomplished great things. She finished University with a degree in Kinesiology. But Daena’s true calling in life was to be a mother and a wife. She devoted her life to her husband Perry and three adoring children, Cole (10), Theo (4) and Dion (1). Daena fully embraced motherhood, sharing her passion for life with her children. Daena’s motherly commitment was intense, with an unwavering determination to nurture her children to be confident, humble, responsible and to have compassion for others.

Daena was also an amazing auntie to many nieces and nephews. She was always so thoughtful and caring towards them all.

Daena lit up any room she entered with her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and she made friends everywhere she went.

While Daena was taken too soon from our world, her imprint of who she was will never leave.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 am. *A private family gathering will follow after the service.
