Obituary of Henry James Karwacki

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Henry Karwacki on August 14th, 2023 at the age of 69. 

Henry was born on October 10, 1953 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. As a young boy he grew up in Wakaw, Saskatchewan where he loved to play hockey and spend time working on the family farm. As the years went on he developed a love of cars and found the love of his life, Rose.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Rose, of 49 years, daughters Michelle MacEwan (Ryan), Sherri Boychuk (Michael), Lisa Bergen (Scott), son Brian Karwacki (Jenna), grandchildren, whom were his pride and joy, Jordan, Austin, Matthew, Katelyn, Emma, Brooke, Thoen and Lyla; sisters Marlene Kalinocha (Rick), Geraldine Harbison (Wes), Diane Karwacki and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

As a loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved to spend time with family at the farm, puttering, gardening, fixing vehicles and time at the lake, fishing, sitting around the fire and enjoying watching everyone laughing and telling stories. We will cherish all the memories and stories for years to come. 

The family will have a viewing for friends and family to come say good-bye and pay your respects on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and a funeral service to be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2:30 pm; both taking place at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 Fourth Avenue North, Saskatoon).  For those that wish to join the family, after the luncheon, the family will be laying Henry to rest in St. Denis Cemetery, St Denis, Saskatchewan. 

The family has deep gratitude for all the amazing care he received while in the Intensive Care Unit at Royal University Hospital. Their care and compassion with forever be remembered and appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to the Royal University Hospital, ICU department or the Saskatoon Cancer Society.
