Obituary of Paul Davis
May 26,1949 - August 12, 2023
Paul Davis was born May 26, 1949 and passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023 and will forever be in our hearts and our memories.
Paul was predeceased by his Mother Emma Jane (Leng) Davis from Sunderland England and his Father Benjamin Wallace Davis (known as Ted) from Vanscoy, SK. He was also predeceased by his daughter Michelle in 2008 and his son Tim in 2015.
Paul is survived by his wife Virginia, son Daniel (Karen), his daughter Jolene (Tim), his sister Jean and her children Laura (Rup), Phillip (Danielle) and Richard (Arleigh).
Paul had seven grandchildren whom he loved spending time with: Mackenzie (Orrin), Jacob, Kyla, Nicole, Shyla, Sarah (Waylon), Dalton (Shannon) and great grandchildren Gabriella, Oliver and Jagger.
As a young man, Paul developed a wonderful and endearing dry sense of humour and he had many hobbies that he enjoyed. He loved hanging out with his friends, scouts/air cadets and found joy in flying, target shooting, hunting, cars, driving, boating, water skiing, woodworking, building model planes, listening to the radio, and reading.
He married Virginia and together they raised 4 children with whom he shared his love of these activities and the love of the outdoors.
Paul joined the Saskatoon Police department in 1979 where he served almost 30 years and retired in 2008 as a Sergeant. He was also heavily involved with the 702 Air Cadet Squadron in Saskatoon where he served for over 20 years and eventually retired with the rank of Major.
After retirement, Paul and Virginia moved up to East Trout Lake, a place they loved, to fully retire. They also loved exploring and bought a motor coach to fulfill a dream of travelling throughout North America with their fur baby “Buttons” meeting many other snowbirds who became wonderful lifelong friends.
