Obituary of Raymond Andrew Kimmie

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Raymond Andrew Kimmie.

Born January 30th 1952, he passed away peacefully on Auguest 10, 2023 surrounded by family at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ray was born in Melfort and grew up on the family farm near Gronlid. He is predeceased by his parents Peter (1970) and Elizabeth (2002), and his brother Ken (2008). He leaves beind his loving sons Preston, Nelson, and Holland, their mother Lynn (Cabrina, Michael). His best friend of 27 years Shannon (Cory, Mindy). Siblings Johanne, Sandra, Dwain, Elroy, and Vern.

Ray excelled at school through academic studies and as an exceptional athlete in many sports. After continuing his education at the University of Saskatchewan he went on to work in the oilfield and finished his career as an operator at Akzo Nobel. Ray will always be remembered as loving, selfless, hardworking, and wise. Always there to lend a hand to family and friends. A skilled craftsman and mechanic, there was nothing he couldn't build of fix.

A celebration of Raymond's life will be held on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 from 4:00pm - 10:00 pm at The Nutana Legion Branch # 362 (3021 Louise Street, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)
