Obituary of Robert Anthony Stokalko
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Stokalko, aged 70, of Saskatoon, he passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023.
He is survived by his loving wife Rita of 49 years and 2 children; Lindsay (Lane) of Saskatoon and Christopher (Shylo) of Victoria BC.; 4 sisters: Marie Williams of Calgary, Jean Lemke of Saskatoon, Helen (Keith) Wells of Saskatoon and Veronica (Al ) Stokalko of Prince Albert; 2 brothers: John of Sherwood Park, AB and Terry (Sharon) of Blaine Lake; 2 sisters in law: Melva King of Saskatoon and Eva Syberden of Calgary; 1 brother in law Ron LeFrancois (Terry) of Saskatoon, as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Eugene & Stella Stokalko; his mother and father in law, Marcel and Blanche LeFrancois; brothers, Ernest Stokalko and Ron Stokalko; brothers in law, Leo King, Hank Syberden, Denis LeFrancois and sisters in law, Mary Stokalko and Barbara Stokalko,
Bob was born December 13, 1952 in Hafford SK. As a young boy he lived in North Battleford, Krydor, and went to school in Krydor and then Blaine lake, where he met the love of his life, and soon married her. Bob and Rita moved to Saskatoon where Bob worked for Burns Feeds, Intercontinental Packers till its closing, and Ace Mfg.
Bob loved golfing in the summer and curling in the winter. He loved watching and feeding his birds in the back yard, and enjoyed the almost constant company of his 2 beautiful cats Mika & Missy whom he absolutely loved and they him.
The Family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the RUH oncology nursing staff and the great Palliative care team. Also thanks and gratitude for the care he received from the great staff at Hospice at Glengarda, you made his last days comfortable and almost bearable.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Saskatoon Cancer Centre or Hospice at Glengarda.
As per Bob's request, there will be no funeral service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home.
