Obituary of Jacqueline Backman

The family of Jacqueline Denise Backman (nee Bennett) sadly announces her sudden and unexpected passing on July 7th, 2023.

Jacqueline (Jackie) was born in Regina, SK on September 28th , 1969. Jackie was married to Paul Backman in Powell River, BC in 1998 and together welcomed three children whom they adored in 1995, 1996 and 2000.

Jacqueline is survived by her mother, Virginia Bennett; her husband, Paul Backman; her children and grandchildren, Kyleigh Matiachuk (Walker and Fischer), Austin Backman, Kassidy Eagle-Pyett (Khaylia and Joseph); her sisters, Audra Wagner and Donna Varga; and her brother, Trevor Bennett.

Jackie will be remembered as free spirited, extremely sociable and one of the most generous of people. She would never hesitate to give the shirt off her back even if it was not within her means to do so. Jackie had the biggest heart; it was one of the most beautiful things about her. She will be greatly miss by all who crossed paths with her.

We all will love and miss you forever.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Aveunue North, Saskatoon, SK.)
