Obituary of Dauphine Georgison
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dauphine “Dot” Georgison 2 days short of her 105th birth day.
Mom was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan.
Mon was predeceased by her parents Walter and Florence; brothers and sisters Mildred, Louis, Fred, Marie, Francis and Marge; her children Jackie and Donna; husbands, Willard and Henry and son-in-law Rod.
She is survived by daughters Joan Giesbrecht and Barbara (Ron) Gedir; grandchildren, Lisa, Gerald, Michael and Scott and great grandchildren Liam, Sarah, Noah, Lauren, Michael, Connor and Lincoln.
Dot worked in the food industry most of her life. She worked at Daylight Bakery, Woolworths, J.D.S Restaurant and Williams Catering where she was a banquet supervisor for 25 years.
Mom loved to travel and took multiple bus trips to the States, a boat trip to Alaska, as well as multiple trips to Thunder Bay and the Maritimes. The highlight was her trip to Rome with her friend Rose.
Her volunteer work included the Western Development Museum. She loved the Festival of trees and singing around the Christmas tree. She was also active in the social committee at Scott Forget Towers and was a lifetime member of the I.O.O.F (Independent Order of Odd Fellows). She also enjoyed cake decorating, knitting and crocheting.
Mom will be sorely missed. Now she is at peace.
