I became acquainted with Dorothy and her husband Bill, at Art Placement. Always kind and willing to share a story or a thought. She invited me into her studio at times. I felt honored and never forgot those moments. Both Dorothy's and Bill's art grace my walls so I feel connected to them everyday. I am glad she had such a long and fulfilled life. Dorothy and Bill touched many, I am fortunate to have been one. I left, become better for having known both of them. Thank you Dorothy for all the kindness and those spectacular pictures. My deepest condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing. I grew up next door to the Perehudoff family and remember babysitting the girls so that Dorothy could spend time by the Saskatchewan river reacquainting herself with her painting career after a few years away from it while the girls were young. I felt fortunate to know Dorothy and Bill and to have time after the girls were asleep basking in their art filled home and browsing through their collection of books. Carol was born right around Christmas and they trusted me to take care of her at 6 days of age so that they could attend a New Year’s Eve get together. When Dorothy was getting back to her art she asked my mother, Solveig Anderson, to sit for her so that she could practice her technique with oils. That portrait was donated to the Winnipeg Art Gallery when my mother died. Dorothy also practised with me sitting for her and a watercolour of me at about age 15 or so has been donated to the Mendel Art Gallery.
When I donated the watercolour my husband and I had a great visit with Dorothy who was still living in her home on second street. I have a lot of wonderful memories of Dorothy. She and my mother often had morning coffee together and shared their gardening tips. And the year before my mother died in 2013 we visited Dorothy in her home and recalled memories from over the years. Cathy was able to join us. She was a wonderful neighbour and friend as well as an outstanding artist.

I was part of a film crew who did a short with Dorothy at the beginning of the 1980s. Many good memories of her and her family. And a good film of her too out in the fields, outside of your city. All good thoughts,

Wishing the whole family our deepest condolences. It is never easy to loose a loved one, much less your mom. I know she was so proud of you all. I had the pleasure of talking with Dorothy just a couple weeks ago and she had said that one of her favorite memories was travelling with Cathy and Rebecca on painting trips, in particular to Banff. She said there were many laughs. When Dorothy and Carol came to her exhibition in 2018, she talked with pride of Carol's accomplishments. She was witty, kind and regal. When she spoke, you listened as you knew there was so much knowledge there. I admired her ability to recount numerous stories of artists she admired. A truly humble lady. She will be fondly remembered and know that your mom will remain in your heart forever. Wishing you time and peace in this time of sorrow. With heartfelt condolences, Heidi and Colette

Dorothy was always kind to me and my family, I will always remember that
our families were/are very connected through the fine art community in Saskatoon and Emma Lake, I remember Dorothy coming to see what I was up to at Emma Lake summer art camp back in 1991, she made very kind comments to encourage me with my painting. Just a few years ago Dorothy came to my father's memorial in Saskatoon.
Sending love to the whole family

Dear friends, I offer you my sincere condolences on the passing of Dorothy. She was such an incredible artist and woman, a true role model. It was always a pleasure seeing her at art openings. I bought one of her paintings a few years ago and it is in a prominent place in my living room so I can see it every day. My thoughts are with you and your relatives. Hugs, Patricia Leguen
