Obituary of Patricia Mae Nash

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Patricia Mae Nash (nee Staples) of Saskatoon. Pat was born to John and Thelma Staples on May 22, 1944, in Kindersley, SK. She spent many years there with her family including her siblings Reg, Joan and Marjorie and numerous cousins and friends.

In 1964 Pat married Peter Nash and had four children; Paula, Paige (David), Paris (Marty) and Parrish. Peter passed away suddenly in 1989, leaving a huge hole in our family. In 1997 mom was fortunate enough to find her adopted daughter, Pam and she fell into our family immediately. In 2016 Peter Hladiuk and mom began dating and were together until her passing.

Mom’s grandkids; Adam, Jailene, Katelyn, Taylor, Jillian, Michael, Luke, Reese, Abby, Owen, Alexi and Ainsley and her eight great grandchildren were the light of her life. Mom touched so many lives as a daughter, sister, mother, auntie, cousin, partner and friend. Her door was always open for company and care. So many knew her as Grandma Pat as she cheered at sporting events no matter the season or the weather. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Our family would like to send a special thanks to the caring team at St.Paul’s Hospital: 5A Observation nurses and staff and Dr. Jodi Spelay. Mom was in good hands with you.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Ave). As well we are offering a viewing on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at that location from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
