Obituary of Cheryl Anne Feader

Cheryl Feader

With heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Cheryl Anne Feader on April 1, 2023 after a year and a half long battle with cancer.  She passed away peacefully pain free with her family by her side.  Cheryl’s passing is being mourned by her husband Kevin Feader, children Kyle Feader, Amber Feader, sisters Rhonda Niebrugee (Eric Purvis), Jackie Duret (Norman Duret), Nieces Kaylyn and Brittney Duret and her father Reynald Niebrugge.  Cheryl was predeceased by her loving mother Anne Niebrugge.

Cheryl grew up on the family farm outside of Fulda Saskatchewan as the middle child of three.  Family meant everything to Cheryl and she was one of the most caring thoughtful people you would ever meet.  After graduating high school she left the farm to attend the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained her degree in Commerce.  Shortly thereafter she joined RBC holding many positions throughout her 30 years, ending her career as the branch manager at RBC 8^th St. in Saskatoon.  Those that know Cheryl are aware that RBC was more than a job to her, RBC was also her extended family.  Her love of her staff and colleagues was beyond belief and she truly loved and cared for all. 

Cheryl met Kevin (who also works at RBC) at a work event and while it wasn’t love at first site, Kevin eventually wore her down and she agreed to marry him in July of 1994.  From this marriage two beautiful children were born, Kyle and Amber.  They are and remain Cheryl’s proudest accomplishments.  Her love for her children was unprecedented and she would drop everything to be at any of the childrens activities, large or small.  Kyle and Amber meant everything to her and she left us knowing that they turned out to be tremendous people with the same loving and caring traits she possessed.

Outside of the family Cheryl enjoyed spending time volunteering, curling, slo-pitch, playing volleyball and later on golf.   Cheryl had many memorable moments in her life and was honoured to carry the torch in the 2012 torch run for the Olympics in Moose Jaw.  The highlight of her career came when she was awarded a cruise, RBC’s highest recognition for hard work for going above and beyond your job.  As luck would have it, her sister Jackie won as well and the sisters spent 5 fantastic days together at sea going to NASSAU, Cayman Islands and the Dominican.

Our family would like to thank the staff at St, Pauls Hospital palliative care unit where Cheryl had her final days.  The staff did everything to ensure Cheryl was comfortable/looked after and the care you showed to Cheryl and the family was amazing.  Thank you. 

A Celebration of Life will be held for Cheryl on April 6^th at Saskatoon Funeral Home at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers we invite all to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
