Marie and Ted Hammer posted a condolence

Ted and I were saddened to hear Joyce had passed away. She was a gem, a one in a million type of person who will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Joyce served on the executive of the Canadian Federation of University Women for years, was always an active member on various committees at G.P.U.C., the old U.C.W. ladies' group, Garage Sales and Fall Suppers. She was on the executive of a Senior's group that met twice monthly with speakers and travel talks at Grosvenor for several years before leaving for White Rock, often supplying her gourmet dainties! Others have spoken of her Bridge Group, her Book Club. Following Gordon's retirement , it was heart-warming to see the two of them shopping together! And they enjoyed outings with The Golden Eagles' Bird Watchers together. They were a true partnership!
We miss them both but will treasure our memories.
Much sympathy to members of their fine family who brought them so much joy and pride over the years!

My condolences to Bev and all of the Wilkinson family. I enjoyed your mom when I was a kid. I remember all the times she'd let us take the station wagon so us girls could 'go out on the town'. She was a good friend to my mom, working together on a few volunteer activities. When I came back to Saskatoon in 1989 I visited with her several times, thoroughly enjoyable.
My condolences.

Every kid growing up in Grosvenor Park had a "second" mom. Mine was Mrs. Wilkinson. Her compassion, understanding and support was legendary and greatly appreciated. It's a great life led, in support of her marvelous husband and great kids. To the Wilkinson kids: my sincere condolences.
