Obituary of Rodel Abano

On February 17, 2023 Rodel Abano passed away at the age of 58 in his home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Rodel was born in Manila, Philippines on December 11, 1964 to Teresita Abano and Jaime Abano. He went to Paco High School and graduated the year 1981. He continued to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Mapua Institute of Technology in the year 1986.

Rodel moved to Saskatoon in February 14, 2013 in hopes for a better future for himself and his family, he worked as a plumber with Greg’s plumbing and heating, Machine Operator at New Holland Saskatoon. Predeceased, Rodel worked with ALSCO Canada as an facilities maintenance employee. He loved his craft but what he enjoys is his time to fish or when he could sitdown in the summer time in the back yard with his friends and family. Rodel loves coming home from work watching his favorite shows but most especially he loves watching the Toronto Raptors.

He is survived by his wife, Leonisa Abano of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His beloved children, Lendle Bryan Abano, his eldest son, his wife Mary and their daughter Jace. Leonel Rod Ivan Abano his second eldest, Vincent Jaime Abano and Mikaela Abano his youngest  daughter.

Visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish on February 23, 2023 at 6pm. The Funeral Service will be held also at St. Patrick Parish Friday, February 24, 2023 10:00 am. Burial to be followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.
