My husband Gary and I extend our heartfelt condolences to all of Inger's family. We never met Inger in person but we were fortunate to meet Anne Jane and Willie. Willie became a great friend during his time in Saskatoon. I remember Willie sharing his mother's pickled sardines with us one time. They were the absolute best tasting pickled sardines we've ever tasted!! Through Willie, we heard many stories about his parents and siblings. We will never forget Willie nor will we forget his mother, Inger. Vichnaya pamyat.

Dear Therese, Mor always spoke with deep love and affection for her Danish family. She would remind us of the importance of staying connected even though there were so many miles between us. In her last days I named you all and told her of the love I know you have for her. I spoke to her of her memories of her dear homeland and family. I hope you know how much she loved you all. ❤️

Anne Jane your Mom was the first mother I met who loved her family her children her life. I will be grateful eternally for her kindness to me when I needed it so much. I used to love when I lived briefly with you her chocolate cake and the way she could put together a meal when the fridge didn’t seem to have anything in it. The way she put celery in tuna sandwiches. She grew the most gorgeous gardens and painted beauty she saw. She was the archetype the embodiment of mother. And I carried a bit of her my whole life. Thanks for sharing her even if just a little with me.

Dear Joyce and Gary, thank you for your kind words. My Mom would have loved you. Peter and I will always remember our Akron days with such fond memories of ‘the gang’ and WITAN. I often told Mom about our wonderful friends and how much we loved living in such a culturally rich and caring community. We will meet again my friend.
