Pat, Winona and I got to know you and Don through the many bus trips that we took together. We experienced many locations and activities during those years. We enjoyed your company and our many walks and talks. We enjoyed your down to earth straight shooting words of wisdom and many words of fun. Those bus trip years of long ended, but your friendship has alway been solid. Since we stopped traveling around the country, I have lost my wife, Winona and our only child David. Your friendship and good will has been with me since then and continues. Now that you have left us, Don and your son have a heavy load to carry. We all married with the anticipation of growing old together. Unfortunately that was something we don't control. You only touched our lives a small amount, think of the memories and joy you brought your family and close friends.
Pat, thank you for touching our lives. We are the better for your presents in our lives, the joy we had as two couples, the fun we had on the trips.
Don to you and your family I can only offer my deepest sorrows. Memories can never give you a Good Night Kiss or a Good Morning Hug. They can only knock the edge off that loss. Don, in a while you will be able to think of Pat and your happiness together and a sparkle will come into your eyes, rather than the tears that now fill your eyes.
My the Good Lord Bless and keep your lives secure. I know that when Pat got to the Pearly Gates, she was welcomed with open arms.
