All the Blackburn family send Donna, Dean and all the family. He was a great neighbor, a fantastic coach for our neighborhood teams as well the Saskatoon and U of S sports scene! Dean and our David grew up together and we are so grateful for having the Seymour in Eastview. It won't be the same going to a Huskie hockey game without seeing Bill there!!

I remember Coach Seymour in several ways. First as my defensive back coach in Grade 11 at Evan Hardy, then after graduating University, running into him at Market Mall, and finally having him as a guest speaker at a sports dinner fundraiser I organized for Prince Philip School playground. He was always kind articulate and a class act. My condolences to the family

The first time we met I called him “Coach “ he called me “Wilbur “ and we called each other that for over 50 years.
I always looked forward to seeing Coach whenever I visited Saskatoon, we told stories, laughed, and talked about life. Like so many others I will miss Coach and my sincere condolences to Donna and family.

Donna, Shannon and family, please accept my most sincere sympathies with the passing of Bill. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Bill while at Walter Murray. His mentorship and support had a profound affect on me that would help to shape me as an educator. Bill’s devotion to his students was beyond admirable. There were many a laughs when Bill would take centre court in preparation of playing intramurals against the students; Bill was always “in it to win it.” Bill was a scholar and a gentleman and I am blessed to have known him. Dear Donna & Family,
We are sending our sincere condolences to you and your family. We are so sad to hear about Bill. We really enjoyed the times he came to our classroom to visit with our students and to share his stories. When we went to visit with you and your family at your home, Bill was very proud to share his impressive hockey puck collection and stories with our children. We will always remember Bill as an amazing, charismatic person who cherished his family. Bill had a special way of making everyone feel like family. We are very honoured to have known Bill. Please know that we are thinking of you during this difficult time and sending hugs your way.

To Bill's family, you know what a great guy he was, but I just wanted to tell you that I worked with Bill on the 2010 World Juniors. Even though I was more than 20 years younger than Bill he treated me like an equal, despite the fact he forgot more about hockey and events than I'll ever know. He was a great mentor.

I was shocked and totally saddened after reading of Bill’s passing. He was an amazing person. I will always remember that fancy red convertible he drove around Yorkton when he started dating Donna! Now, to Donna, Dean, Andrea, Shannon and the rest of the family, my deepest condolences and hugs to you all. Take care.

To the family,
I was very saddened to hear about Bill's passing. He was one of my phys ed teachers at Aden Bowman back in the early 80's. He taught about fair play and respect for others. Our paths crossed once in a while over the years since then and I also enjoyed those meetings to catch up on life and family. Rest in peace, my friend. Bill Daneluik, Mayor of Beaumont Alberta

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Donna and family on the passing of Bill Seymour, one of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever known. Bill was a wonderful athlete and coach, but many people may be surprised to know that he was a very fine singer as well. We sang together as part of a folk trio in the mid-1960s in Yorkton and enjoyed getting together in the evening, singing all the folk songs of the time. Bill will always be a wonderful part of my memory.

First my condolences to Donna and family on the passing of Bill.
I had the fortune of growing up with Bill in Fort Qu'Appelle. We spent our teenage years like many Saskatchewan boys enjoying all the valley had to offer..long summer days..many friends... and of course sports...hockey ,football, baseball, etc... Bill was a superior athlete back then, and a leader off and on the playing field.
We attended the U of S together and boarded with other high school buddies from the Fort.. Those times were precious and memorable.
I had the fortune to interact with Bill in a Provincial Peer Counselling program for students, involving life skills and many aspects of psychological growth. Bill was an dedicated teacher and pioneered a more holistic approach to student growth including all aspects of mental health, academic achievement, and physical well being.
His other many attributes and successes ,especially in the sporting world are well documented.
I will miss his positive attitudes, his unconditional friendship, especially the many unspoken, crazy and zany times together.

I met Bill while I was a student at the University of Saskatchewan in the mid 1960's. He was a fabulous two sport athlete.
I later got to see on him on several occasions through hockey when in various capacities, as Assistant Coach for the Huskies, Head Coach of the Huskies, Athletic Director at the U of S and also Commissioner of Canada West hockey while I was Sports Information Director at the University of Calgary. He was an awesome individual and we always had time for a visit.
He was also involved with various hockey tournaments in Saskatoon that I attended. Saskatoon has lost a fabulous sportsman.
My thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Dear Donna, Dean and the entire Seymour family...
I am indeed saddened to learn of Bill's passing! While I was aware of his illness, it is shocking to hear that he is no longer with us. I hope that you find some consolation in the fact that many share in your grief and knowing that Saskatoon has lost one it's most staunch hockey people. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to share many hockey experiences with Bill and will forever remember his loyalty and total commitment as a major contributor to the sport. Bill set a high standard for himself in his mentorship of others and will indeed be sadly missed.
May he rest in peace!
With deep sympathy,
Joe C. Bloski

Sending my condolences to Dean and family.
So very sad to learn of your father’s passing. I worked for Bill when he still ran the UofS Huskies Athletic’s department and always enjoyed our conversations. He was such a happy, optimistic, and fascinating man to talk with and so knowledgeable in hockey and campus trivia. He also gave some excellent life advice. He once told me, “whenever you decide to do something, always tell your plans to other people so that you’ll have to get it done.” Never forgotten that.
