Madeline, I am so very sorry for your loss. I was shocked when I returned from holidays and went to visit my mom, Agnes, at St.Anne’s and Dick was gone. This is Agnes’ daughter Carrie. You were there, every single day, taking care of and loving your husband and I admired you so much for all you did for him. I hope and pray that should I ever need the kind of care your husband did, my spouse will be my side as you were for Dick. I’m sorry I wasn’t there, and didn’t get to say goodbye. I hope to see you again some day - maybe you’ll stop in at St. Anne’s for a visit?. You were such a familiar face at St. Anne’s that it just doesn’t seem the same there without you. Take care, Carrie

Dick was 2 years older than me. We rode on the same school bus for many years. He was full of mischief and always had a big smile on that handsome face.
My condolences to Madelaine and family.

What neighbour's the Trefiaks! We were blessed to live of their street in Meadow Lake. We got to ski with them in the mountains. We laughed and cried with Dick and family when occasions arose. The glint in Dick's eyes throughout his life was always appreciated. Rest in peace you good man.
