Aunt Helen was a favorite of mine. She was always a joy to be around, smiling and joyful. She seemed full of life all the time. I was glad to see her the last time we were in Saskatoon about 5 years ago. May she rest in peace.

Well I cherish the annual visits Helen made with family in tow to visit her mother in law Mary on our Saskatchewan farm. At Easter the country roads were non too welcoming and required some foot work to reach us.
Then as she retired in Arizona we too, newly retired could visit her. Once when her memory was failing we retired at 9pm to our motorhome and she exclaimed excitedly to her daughter, "Why that was Hank's girl!" It must have plagued her that the long hair I always sported was cut terribly short. But Greg still had his beard so she recognized him! The the next morning Greg and her reminisced in the AZ sunshine and Shirley and I shopped the outlet stores of Phoenix. Thanks Helen for that smile that seemed to come so easy to you. It brightened my day.

Aunt Helen was an amazing aunt to me, and I will always remember your family home in Saskatoon and the fun times we had there when visiting. It is nice to see your ending phrase 'A Life well Lived' as it somehow gives a sense of relief from the sadness, for a moment....
Donna and I offer you all our sincere condolences.
