Dear Cheryl and family. I was flabbergasted to read of Henry's passing in the STM More News. We had not exchanged messages since October 11th when he forwarded me a series of hilarious Maxine caricatures but figured he was busy nothing more. Henry and I met as students at STM and remained in touch over the years. We had planned on getting together last July when I was in Saskatoon however I had a mini stroke. Consequently we never got to meet at your abode on Broadway. We did however touch base electronically. It was always a treat to communicate with Henry and He will certainly be missed. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences and rest assured I will keep Henry in my thoughts and prayers.

Cheryl, I was shocked and saddened to just now hear of Henry's passing. I immensely enjoyed our time together though e-mails, luncheons and the discussions, thoughts and humorous wit it brought. May he rest in peace knowing he shared his vast knowledge and experiences with many. Reflecting back on all the volunteering and philanthropy work you and Henry have done in the city and through out the province I'm sure will bring a warm smile and fond memories in this difficult time. Sincerely. Bill Rusk

John and I were very sorry to hear of Henry's passing. We valued our time as neighbours in Spadina Towers, with regular visits between our offices to discuss cases, computerization and artwork - and, of course, to allow Henry to sneak peanuts from the vending machine on our floor. Our sincere condolences to you, Cheryl.

Hello Cheryl. John and I were saddened to hear of Henry"s death. Our main memories were as Henry as a student in Residence, where his most famous action was to inject the refreshment oranges with vodka, on the trips to regina for football games! We also remember of course, his professionalism, his enthusiastic art collecting, and his wonderful laugh. Condolences to you, Cheryl - it will be a sad loss. Ann and John Stewart

Dear Cheryl,
Just a few months ago I was pleased to see you both following the memorial service for Dave Wilton. Together you appeared well and lively as usual. Henry was especially proud of having lost considerable weight, was feeling good and apparently as busy as ever enjoying his well deserved retirement. How sad he has been called from us with so much still to offer. He will be remembered for so many accomplishments,, but especially for his contribution to the arts community of our province, of course in concert with you. Through my dear colleague, Cecil Ewing,,I first was introduced to you both at our cocktail trysts at the Faculty Club in the '70s.It has been gratifying to have been included amongst your many friends. Henry is busy I'm sure discerning how it all works up there.
Marg and I extend our heartfelt sympathy.

It will always be my joy that I got the chance to work with the Kloppenburg & Kloppenburg. Mr. Kloppenburg "HRK", this community will dearly miss you! Thank you for the opportunity that you and Mrs. Kloppenburg extended to me. I often calls you "Prof" at work because for 3 years, everyday, I learned new things. Will remember those days that you will call me to go to your office just because you bought something from eBay or Amazon. You even shared it to my brothers and myself. I witnessed his generosity and most of all his sense of humor, that I will forever cherish. To Mrs. Kloppenburg, my deepest sympathy.

Our sincere condolences to you, Mrs. K. Was sad to hear the news of Mr. K's passing. His generosity of giving to Shawn and Tyler was unremarkable. We were just talking a few weeks ago about our suppers we had at Tavernas - the boys were thrilled when Mr. K would let them have a glass of wine. Today, Tyler wore one of the first ties Mr. K gave to him. Darren, Lisa, Shawn (Missa), Tyler, Alex, Camille and Leo Beres.

I will never forget my time as a courtrunner for the Kloppenburgs, back in 1986-1987. I learned so much there and was very grateful for the opportunity and for the camaraderie - I was always made to feel part of the team. I remember fondly his big laugh echoing through the office and his frequent "how are things with you today?". My deepest sympathies to Cheryl and the rest of the Kloppenburg family. Henry was a significant professional presence in our community, a man of high achievement who gave back, contributing to a wide range of causes. He will be remembered specially by many as an avid lifelong supporter of the arts. The generosity of Cheryl and Henry has assisted Gustin House to bring international musicians to the Saskatoon stage, and for that, we and our audiences continue to be grateful.
