From Darlene and myself Brian we extend our sympathy to Laurence’s family. Laurence was our neighbour for 20 years at Willowcrest Condominiums. Always charming, always willing to lend a hand on projects, a sharp mind up until his passing and always a gentle smile. Laurence may you Rest In Peace and be retuned to be with family and friends who have already past.

Blake & I offer our sincere condolences to you girls, Gail, Dee, and Bonnie (my bff) & all your family.
These are my limited impressions of your dad, Laurence Osachoff:
He was a stern (perhaps because I was a giggly teen) and imposing figure when I first met him - a tall, dark & handsome man with a wavy, full head of dark hair, which turned white as he got older, giving him a distinguished, refined look.
I was a little intimidated & a bit afraid of him when I went to your house at that first meeting - until I got to know him. I soon found him to be a no-nonsense, but kind and friendly gentleman. He was curious about, and enjoyed getting to know people and liked to discuss ideas (and politics). He always had a friendly smile to greet you and a good sense of humour.
He was very much an influencer for the causes with which he was involved. I found him to be an intellectual, a philosopher, a spiritual man with a love of his land & a belief in the common good.
He was a family man who wanted only the best for his wife & children.
His death was inevitable, but we have lost someone whom we admired & whose values we hold dear. He died in the same dignified manner in which he lived. There will surely be a place in heaven for such a man.

My condolences. I learned early as an activist, that folks had abundant ideas for action, programs. The real gem is Lawrence. He knew how to secure funding. Even more important, he knew how to budget and keep the group accountable!
Plus he was a gentleman. I can still remember the harmony of doukhabor singers.

On behalf of my sister, Rita, and myself, I send sincerest condolences to Gail, Dee, Bonnie and families. Although you were gone from Blaine Lake before I was born, I remember Mr. Osachoff from visits he made back to Blaine Lake over the years with Mrs. Osachoff. I also recall being welcomed into their home in Saskatoon with my parents, Marcel and Theresa. I always thought Mr. Osachoff to be a very classy and gentle man. May good memories and the gift of time help to ease your burden of sorrow and may Mr. Osachoff rest in peace.
