I remember Joy from years ago when I attended school in Girvin, Saskatchewan. Joy was the kindest, sweetest lady. I helped her learn English and she helped me learn Chinese. Rest In Peace dear lady. God Bless you and your husband. I will never forget you.
When we were kids we would stop at the "Yee Cafe" in Girvin for treats when we would haul wheat from the farm........It was always refreshing to get chocolate bars and an ice cold Coke from the cooler ....Tom and Joy were always happy to see us and greet us with a smile and friendly conversation....They were both true Saskatchewan pioneers........Rest in Peace.
I grew up in the small community of Girvin and for several years my family lived next door to Joy and Tom. I remember Joy as quiet, gracious,and kind hearted. She had the most beautiful smile. I have many fond memories of this lovely lady.
