Obituary of Joyce Mary Arnold

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Mary Arnold.  

Mom is survived by her two sons, Chris (wife, Toby; daughters, Cydney and Shelby) and Bart (wife, JoAnne; sons, Isaiah and Nehemiah).  Mom was predeceased by her husband, James “Jim”; father, Carl; mother, Elizabeth; sister, Jean; and brother, Dwight.  

Mom was born in Bender, Saskatchewan on April 22, 1937.  Before starting school, Mom’s family moved to Estevan where Mom attended Valley View Elementary and Estevan Collegiate.  After high school, Mom completed an administrative assistant course.  

In 1961, Mom married Jim and in 1963 Chris was born and in 1965, Bart was born.  Throughout married life, Joyce was a stay at home mom who enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and took exceptional pride in her flower beds and garden.  Mom also loved their winter vacations in Hawaii.  

As a breast cancer survivor, Mom’s wishes were that anyone wanting to make a memorial donation, please send to the Canadian Cancer Society.  

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
