It is with great sadness that the family of Jo Anne Propp announces her passing on July 14, 2022. Jo Anne is survived by her 2 sons, Joel (Annette) and Greg (Kelsy), Grandchildren Malcolm and Quincy, Logan, Dylan and Chloe. Her sisters Judy (Vic) Sincich, Candace (Gregg) Raymond and sisters-in-law Hilda Propp and Ella Propp.
Born to parents Calvin and Dorothy Hull in Ottawa on February 01, 1943, Jo Anne was the eldest of 5 children. After the war her father continued with the Air Force as a test pilot. He passed away when Jo Anne was very young which led to the family settling permanently in Ottawa.
As a young woman, Jo Anne had the opportunity to attend University which she took serious honour in achieving. She did not attend as the responsibility to her family was required and she continued to work and help where she was most needed. She did soon meet the love of her life Arnold Propp and they married in 1968. Their family grew with the arrival of their 2 sons. Arnie's work took the family to Vancouver, Edmonton, and finally Saskatoon where they made their permanent home.
In Saskatoon, as she raised her family, Jo Anne had a small cosmetics store, Faces, for a short time. Her keen sense of style continued on with her passion for fashion and home decor. She took great pride in her home keeping it current with the latest trends, which helped her continue with her other passion, shopping.
Throughout the years Jo Anne and Arnie shared many adventures and enjoyed their time together exploring the world and all its wonders. Jo Anne always stayed true with her heart in Ontario, her love in Victoria and her home in Saskatoon.
Jo Anne enjoyed conversations, sharing stories, the NFL and staying up to date in politics. The Tour de France was not to be missed. Her loves were her family, her life long friendships, current friendships, and the people she has left behind. Jo Anne strongly supported her charities either as a volunteer or with regular contributions.
The family is grateful for the continued support of family, her friends, and neighbours, We are at peace knowing she is comfortable and with her loved ones.
In honour of Jo Anne's wishes, there will be no services held. The family invites you to share your stories and memories here. In her honour of her strong support for a variety of charities, a donation to your charity of choice is the gesture that Jo Anne would most appreciate.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and comfort provided by St Paul's Hospital as well as the kind compassion of the people of Saskatoon Funeral Home and making arrangements as easy as possible.
