Obituary of Valentia Williams

It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the unexpected death of Valentia Williams which occurred on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Valentia is survived by her beloved husband of 18 years, Vern; her children: Dean (Tracy) Lenuik, Trina (Stephen) Mann, Justin Lenuik, Travis Williams, Talia (Tommy) Cantafio, and Tyler (Brandy) Williams; and 7 grandchildren: Adia, Olivia, Peyton, Ruben, Thomas, Mikayla and Taija. Valentia was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Lenuik of 10 years and her parents John and Mary Bugiera. Valentia was born on February 14, 1959, in Invermay, Saskatchewan and resided in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where she worked as a Teacher for the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Board. Valentia will be remembered as a person who was loving, generous, funny, and passionate about her faith, family, and career. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them – especially Adia and Olivia with whom she spent countless days. Valentia loved making perogies, and buns; singing her favorite country song; spending time at the cabin with her family on the water fishing; and, in the garden growing and picking her vegetables. These memories of Valentia will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved her. Valentia will be dearly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, friends, and colleagues. Since Valentia was deeply passionate about early childhood learning, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, people may make a donation in her name to the Children’s Discovery Museum on the Saskatchewan at www.museumforkids.sk.ca or a charity of your choice.
