Obituary of Norma Jean Dolan

We wish to announce the death of Norma Jean Dolan in Saskatoon at the Stensrud Lodge Nursing Home in her 76th year. She died peacefully the morning of June 22, 2022 surrounded by her friends and care givers.  The family thanks God for the marvelous care and support each member of the staff have provided to Norma over these past several years.

We are thankful for her Christian faith and for the influence and blessing her life has provided to our family. Her life’s legacy will long be remembered in the influence she made through her parents Lena and John Dolan and their multitude of friends and supporters in the development of understanding of, services for, education for, and research into the causes of mental disabilities which affect us deeply. The establishment of the John Dolan School in Saskatoon and Cosmopolitan Industries are only two of the many examples of those developments which have rippled and spread locally, provincially, nationally and around the world.

Norma is survived by her sister Grace Harman, her brother Alfred Dolan, her sister Dale Dodman, and her sister Ruth Black.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Anglican Church in Saskatoon in July.
