My Mom lived her life by following her heart. Didn't have any money but that never seemed to bother her. Her only concerns were her family. She was a true artist getting so much of her talent from her beloved father. She learned piano and violin, organ and accordion too. As well she was a singer and sang for weddings and many church events including the annual 'Handels' Messiah' at the 3rd Ave United Church in which I remember being so proud of her. Much of her talent went to her daily working life as a sign painter, big or small she did it all. She also did many amazing signage projects for family and friends.
Her favorite though was drawing, painting and calligraphy, especially roses and images of her saviour Jesus along with so many of the beautiful verses from the Bible. I remember how she often loved to just sit at the piano and sing, mostly gospel tunes and even a couple of songs she herself had written. She had the purest heart, but she also had so many very difficult challenges in her life starting from a young age. Over time she found her refuge in Jesus above all else. And this is how I know she is finally at peace. May God Bless her soul and be with her forever and ever, Amen
(as remembered by her daughter, Marlene)
