Our deepest sympathy on the passing of Beryl. She was a special person,so kind and gracious. Beryl was a great friend to my mother Betty who thought the world of her. We should all aspire to have that kind of friendship in our lives. Our thoughts are with your family at this time.

Very sad to know that my Honorary 'Auntie' Beryl has passed away. She was important to me, and I cared for her very much. My late Mom Daisy Spurgeon and her were very close friends, and all of you were welcoming in having me tag along with my Mom on visits to Auntie Beryl in her house and up to the cabin at Meeting Lake. My deepest sympathies to all of you. I was privileged to have last visited in-person with her in December, and then had subsequent phone conversations, the last being mid-April.
Your Mom lit up the room wherever she was, and had a smile with a twinkle in her eye that showed she genuinely cared about everyone she interacted with and was sincerely interested in what you had to say. She made a mark in everyone's lives, and the world will be a little emptier without her in it.
Many hugs and much love to everyone in the family and extended families. - Bev Kowaluk (nee Spurgeon)
