I was saddened to learn today that my beloved friend Rachel's father passed away this year. Judith, if you remember me, Bree and I (Rachel's friends) were the ones who sent you the birthstone necklace after Rachel's passing. We still have Rachel in our hearts and thoughts all the time, and her wonderful art and characters will live on in our minds. I am sorry to hear that you have lost Ivan as well. Judith, I remember when we first met Ivan at the lake just a bit after high school. He struck me as such a funny decent genuine person at the time and that view never changed in all these years. He went out of his way to help. When you and he and Rachel stopped in Toronto to visit with us it was a highlight for us and it was great for Rob to renew his acquaintance and for us to meet Rachel. Judith, I was so sorry to read about the loss of your dear husband and your many other losses. We used to be in a fitness group with our kids in the 80’s and 90’s and formed a ladies coffee group for quite a few years. We lost track of each other as we raised our families. My sincere condolences to you in all your losses. God bless you and keep you strong. I remember you as a very strong woman and I remember Mark and Rachel.
