Such sad news to hear of Michael's unexpected death. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. Over the years Debbie has given me news of you all, Michael and late Villanueva, Christel, Jacqueline, and Wade, and your families, and Alison and Melissa too. I stand with you in your grief, and am thankful that when someone we love leaves us, and becomes a memory, in time the memory becomes a treasure, until we meet in heaven. John 14 V 2
I have been Debbie's friend since we were 7 years old. I have fond childhood memories of visiting the deMuth home and being very warmly received by Dorothy & Maurie, and Alison and Michael too. I remember Michael as very tall and strong, and full of life and jokes too. I know Debbie has valued him so very much as her brother and I know you will all miss Michael greatly.
I pray God will give you the peace of His presence through our Lord Jesus Christ, and the comfort of His love at this time of your sorrow.
Much love,
Lyn Cotton

We are so saddened to hear of your loss.I had the good fortune to work with Michael for 30 plus years .He was a gentleman with a quick sense of humour and a brilliant mind.Michael was proud to be from New Zealand and always referred to it as home.I regret not being able to spend more time wit Michael over the last couple of trying years. He will be missed.

I was saddened to hear of Michael's sudden passing. I met Michael while applying for my first job fresh out of University. Michael was the Branch Administrator at ManuLife and for some reason only known to him...he gave me my FIRST opportunity in the business world. Out of him hiring an eager young kid fresh out of school came a LIFE LONG friendship that I will always cherish...
I never saw Michael raise his voice, lose his temper or treat anyone with disrespect. Michael had a unique sense of humor and I always admired him for his intelligence and his patience (particularly towards me) as I was learning the job.
Michael was a GREAT mentor and friend...what you saw is what you got...simple and unpretentious. In the coming days and weeks I will keep Debbie and the rest of the family in my prayers. I for one,.. am a better person for having the HONOR of calling Michael "FRIEND"...

Jackie, Christel and Wade I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I’ve known your dad since I was in grade 7 and I have some really good memories of him. Michael could always make me laugh and he always had a story to tell. I’m so glad that I had a chance to get to know him and I will miss him. If you need anything please let me know.

Hugs & kisses to Jackie, Crystal & Wade on the passing of your Dad. Condolences to all the families in this time of grief. It was a pleasure to know Michael in both our personal & professional lives. We first met Michael through our girls friendships & carried on through the years. We always made sure to have at least an extra hour when we went in about insurance issues so that we could update each other on our kids & their families. Plus of course there had to be at least a joke or two shared as well. Rest in peace Michael.

On behalf of Lou and I we want to express our condolences to the family. We have known Michael for some 40 years personally and professionally at Cook Agencies. For a 2 decades he and I met to talk of matters of our heart. I always joked I picked him because we had absolutely nothing in common and his accent compromised my comprehension forcing us to keep it personal. And I could trust his lips were sealed in these exchanges. He liked to tease Lou and get her flustered in his bad jokes. He had consummate knowledge of politics and world war history, subjects we often gravitated to. He always spoke fondly of his kids without complaint or criticism.. He will be missed.

This is the most recent photo I have of my much loved Uncle Michael, which is quite some years back with dear Villa and her friends. I am not sure who took the photo but hope it brings back happy memories.
