Dearest cousins Anuj and Sameer, my condolences to you and your family. Wishing you strength in these difficult times. My favourite memories were visiting you in Regina when we were young -
Uncle Anil use to spoil us with jello and ice cream!! I remember this with a big smile. We had wonderful visits together with your lovely parents. Missing Indra Puaji as well very much. Lots of love to you both, your cousin Ranji, unfortunately far away at these important times.

On behalf of the Bali family, our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Khosla family especially Anuj and Sameer.May his soul rest in peace. My memories with Anil is with gardening, on several occasions that we are visiting them in Saskatoon, I am always with Anil visiting nurseries to buy vegetables and flowers , he would give me a free hand on flowers and vegetables that I think will be good for the house, I could remember how proud he was telling me updates on what is happening to the plants. We get along so well because of our passion with plants, this is all evident with all his plants both indoor and outdoors. We will miss him.

Dearest Khosla and Bali families,
What a beautiful service you gave uncle this morning with heartfelt speeches. Like yourselves, we are shocked that uncle is gone. Our hearts are broken for your entire family - our deepest sympathies and condolences to you all.
Uncle was a fun uncle - always generous and welcoming. He had a great sense of humour and his love for plants and gardening showed what a patient and nurturing man he was. He was always quiet - calm, cool and collected. Lots could be learned from him - he was so wise.
-Thank you uncle for the lovely lunches and dinners - great times and memories. You will always be remembered and missed along with aunty.-
Lots of love to you all,
Chaukla family

My Dearest Anil Mama is no more. We had our special song that you never failed to sing when you saw me…. Don’t even remember how that became our “thing”…but I do know I will miss it and always think of you when I hear it anywhere. We feel profound sadness at your demise, but are comforted to know you have reunited with your love, Indra Aunty. I will treasure the special moments, trips and the memories forever. And I will certainly feel a void at our birthdays knowing your much anticipated call will not come anymore. May peace be forever with you, Anil Mama.
To the family, and especially to Anuj, Sameer, Shayroz and Sophia,, our deepest condolences to all of you and sending you love, strength and prayers to get through the days and weeks ahead. We are here for you. God bless you. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

Train of Life
By Jean d'Ormesson
At birth, we boarded the train of life and met our parents,
and we believed that they would always travel by our side.
However, at some station, our parents would step down from the train,
leaving us on life's journey alone.
As time goes by, some significant people will board the train:
siblings, other children, friends, and even the love of our life.
Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum.
Others will go so unnoticed that we won't realize that they vacated their seats!
This train ride has been a mixture of joy, sorrow, fantasy,
expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.
A successful journey consists of having a good relationship with all passengers,
requiring that we give the best of ourselves.
The mystery that prevails is that we do not know at
which station we ourselves will step down.
Thus, we must try to travel along the track of life in the best possible way -
loving, forgiving, giving, and sharing.
When the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty -
we should leave behind beautiful memories for
those who continue to travel on the train of life.

I met Uncle almost twelve years ago; Uncle and Aunty had visited us in New Jersey with their son, Anuj. I have memories of wonderful summer evenings in the back yard, barbecuing, and having a really good time. What I remember most, however, is Uncle’s laugh - a hearty, happy laugh - he was just full of joy and love. Although I had not met Uncle before, his happiness instantly put me at ease. Rest In Peace, Uncle. Our condolences to Sameer, Anuj and the family.

We are deeply saddened due to sudden passing away of dear Anilji. With our heavily grieving hearts, we join family and all our friends in prayers for the peace of Anilji’s departed soul.
We became family members with Anilji many years ago when Sameer Khosla, Anilji’s son got married to dear Shayroz of Hasham family in Edmonton. Since then both Anilji and his earlier departed wife Indraji have been constantly winning our hearts with their great sweet, kind, and affectionate personalities just like they won the hearts of many others who were also lucky enough to meet and know them.
Anilji, always had a very deep and sincere appreciation of the company of people around him. His compassionate, kind, and caring treatment of all those he knew and met can never be forgotten. We are going to miss all that now, but we have no choice. Anilji has left our side of the eternity to be with the All Mighty Himself. It was All Mighty’s desire to free him from our world, take him away from us, and take care of him Himself.
We will always remember Anilji’s sweet smile, kindness, compassion, caring of others and the hearty love of life that was a great part of his personality. But we know Anilji will continue to be with us in his kindness, love, and care. God has blessed us with his precious memories so that we can see the roses bloom all year round.
In all fairness to Anilji, we will manage our pains and celebrate his life that he shared with us, wishing him a new better life that Anilji deserves so rightfully.
We are sure we will continue to meet him on clear nights, shining and twinkling as one of the heavenly stars in the Canadian Skies.
With love,
Krishan and Nirmala Saxena with
Amit, Kal, Priya, Sahara, Ajay, Salima, Meera, and Zaine
The 'gift' of grief is that it presents us the tool to heal and continue.
