I am so sorry to hear the news of Carolyn’s death. I knew her from LCBI, she in grade 12 and myself in grade 11. I was also taking Bible the year she came back to do that. Then we actually lived together for a very short time when she was working at the seminary and I came to start my studies in Physiotherapy. Carolyn was a lovely and generous person, and the thing I probably remember most about her is her amazing smile. It not only lit up her face, but also those around her. I wish you courage and strength when you need them most, and moments of comforting peace throughout this time of mourning.

Sorry to hear of Carolyn’s passing, she always was so kind and gentle. Too bad we always lived so far apart, it would have been nice to have been around to witness your expanding and very special family grow.

I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing, and send condolences to her family. Since LCBI days, we did not cross paths often - occasionally at Kinasao - however, I remember her great sense of humour and beautiful smile. She was so much fun! I know she will have left a wonderful legacy to the next generations. Laurie (Crosland) Dent

The Butterfly Song
Song by Debby Kerner & Ernie Rettino
If I were a butterfly
I'd thank you, Lord, for giving me wings
And if I were a robin in a tree
I'd thank you, Lord, that I could sing
And if I were a fish in the sea
I'd wiggle my tail, and I'd giggle with glee
But I'd just thank you Father for making me me
'Cause you gave me a heart
And you gave me a smile
You gave me Jesus
And you made me your child…
thank-you God for the life of Carolyn Johnson who shared the gift of music with so many Junior Lutherans.

Peace to Karena
and the Johnson Family
We are very sad to hear of your mom's passing. Our family has many memories of your mom. Ami and I talked about the LCBI days with your mom and dad being such models of parenting. Of course having such sweet young daughters made your parents standouts as well. Ami and I also have very fond memories of your mom leading the playschool in Outlook. We always admired how loving and creative and patient Carolyn was with all the little friends. Anna too remembers her time with your mom.
I have a strong image of your mom singing and smiling.
I will be thinking of you and your family this Holy Week and coming Easter. Please convey our love to your dad as well.
You have been a marvelous example Karena of following the legacy of hope and servanthood which your parents have so wonderfully exemplified.
May you and yours be given hope and faith in the great Gospel of the resurrection of our Lord.
Blessings and grace abounding, Ami and Harley Johnson

So sorry to hear about Torgy's passing we were roommates at LCBI and shared many wonderful experiences together as dear friends. I loved her laugh and the twinkle she had in her eye when she was happy about anything. I was always hoping that we could get together again before this happened but I know for sure that I will see her again in heaven and join her in singing praises to our Lord and Savior! I have a plethora of memories with her and I will cherish them as long as I live.
