Dad grew up in Hanley, Saskatchewan and later moved to Saskatoon to attend The University of Saskatchewan. Dad worked for the Federal Government in the Veterans’ Land Act and eventually the National Parole Board. In later years Dad kept busy doing office cleaning for NRT who became more like a family to him.
He met the love of his life and married mom in 1974. The same year they moved into their new and only home together and built a loving home for their 3 children.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dad. In 1983, Mom and Dad installed an in-ground pool. Their backyard was a beacon for family gatherings and an inviting place for so many to enjoy over the years. Dad was extremely proud of the yard and the house him and mom built and the strong relationship that he had with his children and grandchildren. Dad was especially proud being showcased in the Saskatoon Home Magazine Summer 2020 issue.
Dad loved to keep up with current events and had a passion for politics. He loved a good discussion and was so proud when his oldest daughter Kim also shared this passion. Dad was an amazing, hardworking father & husband and we will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will take place this Summer just the way Dad would want it. Details to follow.
