Obituary of Caroline Britton
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Caroline Britton (née Kwasnitza) in the early morning of November 22, 2015. Carol was born in 1941 to John and Mary Kwasnitza at Ituna, SK. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Lloyd Britton; daughter Michele (Wilfred) Matt; son Kelvin (Wendy) Britton; granddaughters Alison (Mark) Temple, Lindsay (Dave) Moore, Amber (Sean) Cathcart; great grandsons Jase and Kenyon; sister Adella Leontowicz; brothers Jim (Lillian), and Henry; sister-in-law Stephania as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by infant son Kelly; infant granddaughter Tammy, parents John and Mary; brothers Orest and Stanley; brother-in-law Alex; and sister-in-law Marianne. Carol worked as a telephone operator in Ituna and Saskatoon prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise two rambunctious children. After sending them off to school she re-entered the job market to work for Beaver Foods at Marquis Hall at the University of Saskatchewan, then moved to the University Book Store in Place Riel where she worked until her retirement. Carol cherished the interaction with her grandchildren as they progressed from childhood to accomplished young women and treasured the great grandchildren as they begin their journey of life. Carol enjoyed crafts, fishing, and sightseeing on her travels throughout Canada, USA, and England. Her backyard was always awash with flowers during the summer, and she loved spending evenings on the back patio with or without a fire. Carol will be fondly and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Memorial donations be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association (1231-8th St E. Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5) or to a charity of your choice.
