Wayne Love
July 25th 1946-January 30th 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Love of Saskatoon at St.Pauls hospital after a courageous battle with Covid and related illness.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Kimberly Love of 25 years, son David (Kristin) Love, daughter Audrey Love, his brothers; Peter (Susan) Love, Bill (Veronika) Love, 3 grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was pre-deceased by his parents Audrey and William “Burt” Love.
Wayne was born in Montreal and adored spending his childhood summers in Newfoundland with his family. He was active in his childhood playing hockey, wrestling, delivering newspapers, working odd jobs and proudly washing his dad’s car. As a young man he worked for CN Railway in Montreal and in the early 80’s moved out to Saskatchewan and pursued a career in insurance (London Life) and real estate (Remax). Wayne was a jack of all trades and very hard working and continued on with his renovation work until his passing.
Wayne’s favorite pastime was working and in his spare time he would be found, playing his guitar, camping, enjoying coffee with friends, and playing cards-he loved a good game of Schmier. He looked forward the family visits Shellbrook and enjoyed his mother in-laws cooking. He was a dedicated member at the YMCA for almost 40 yrs; coaching and instructing and enjoyed a good workout. Alcoholics Anonymous was a big part of Wayne’s life sobriety date September 15th 1985.
