Georgeline (nee Levesque) Heit, 68, of Unity, SK, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 surrounded by family. Georgeline was born on July 19, 1953 in Saskatoon, SK to Albert and Germaine (Marcotte) Levesque, the 17th of 18 children. She was raised in Prud’Homme, SK, where she lived both in town and on the farm and enjoyed riding horses and having adventures with siblings and friends. After completing high school, she moved to Saskatoon working various jobs before starting her diploma in Dental Assisting. She worked in that profession for a short time, when she met her love and future husband, Dan Heit. They married on October 24, 1975, in Saskatoon, SK, after which she moved to their farm in Tramping Lake, where they lived and raised their six children until a house fire in May 1995. Following that fire, Dan and Georgeline decided to relocate to the nearby community of Unity. Here, they continued to farm and create beautiful memories for their children. After their children graduated, Georgeline and Dan began to travel more making trips to the southern US, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Georgeline’s Catholic faith guided her life. She devoted her time to the church community in Unity attending weekday mass and adoration. She enjoyed participating in retreats and supporting ministries like F2F and CCO, and making pilgrimages to holy places including Medugorje, Lourdes, and the Holy Land, growing deeper in her faith and relationships with close friends and family.
She lived a blessed life and counted her children and grandchildren amongst her life’s greatest blessings.
Georgeline is survived by her husband, Dan Heit, and their children Jason (Jacqueline) Heit, Vanessa (Mike) Clark, Jessica (Tyler) Fittes, Dana (Chet) Camrud, Michael (Lexie) Heit, and Alana (Caleb) Regnier, and grandchildren Anderson, Emily, Nazlyn, Cruz, Aria, Odelia, Oleander, Toryn, Elise, and Ezra, 6 brothers, 4 sisters, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her 6 brothers, and several nieces and nephews
