Obituary of Mark McGregor
It is with profound heartache and sadness that we announce the passing of Mark McGregor. He was tragically taken from us on Monday, November 16th at the young age of 59 years. Mark was born to Elizabeth and Tom McGregor and raised in Saskatoon. He was the proud owner and operator of the Dairy Queen on 22nd Street. He and his late father worked side by side building the business first at the 20th Street store then at 22nd street location. Mark was one of the founding members of the Moonlake Golf and Country Club. He was very proud of how the course progressed over the years. Mark loved the older mustang cars and was one of the founding members of the Saskatoon Mustang Club. Mark had many interests which can be seen in his numerous collections, from trains, coca cola items, die-casts cars and hot wheels. Mark loved car racing, whether it was drag racing, NASCAR, formula one, indy car or the races at the local track. He was the proudest though when watching his two children race karts and later being by Thomas' side through his racing career with Exclusive Autosport. Mark was the life of the party and always was fun to be around. Loyal, devoted, hardworking and generous are just a few words that describe the wonderful son, husband, father, brother, brother in law, uncle and best friend.
Mark will be remembered always by his family, his loving wife Nancy, his children Thomas and Sara, and Sara's special friend Devin Walls. His mother Elizabeth and his late father Tom McGregor. Mark is also survived by his brother Bruce, sisters Sandy (Bruce McBean, Brayden and Kevan) and Linda (Dan French). Mark was a beloved member of Nancy's family and will be sadly missed by Nancy's parents Marjorie and Bill Tuttle, her sisters Sheila (Dale Clancy, Adam and Stacy, Elyse and Oliver, Meghan and Ken), Leslie ( Robert Birch, Aoibheann, Calvin) her brothers Ward Tuttle (Laurianne and Jack) and Trevor Tuttle (Renee, MacKenzie and Gabrielle). Memorial donations can be directed to the Children's miracle Network or to any other charity of one's choice.
