Obituary of Dorothy Barton

BARTON, Dorothy Adeline passed away November 13, 2015 in her 104th year. Dorothy (nee Donnell) was born in Cookstown, Ontario on July 13, 1912. At a young age, she moved to Toronto with her family. It was here that she received her education and would later meet her future husband, Harold. After Harold finished his WWII service they married in Vancouver and later relocated to Calgary, where they raised their family and where Dorothy worked as an office professional. Dorothy was an active member of her church and particularly enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star. In 1993 she moved to Saskatoon to spend more time with her family. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Harold (1989). She will be lovingly remembered by her sons John (Florence) Barton and Bruce (Stella) Barton. Her grandchildren Sarah (Kevin) Keith, Amanda (Bradly) Pottle, Jonathan Barton, Matthew (Carolyn) Barton, William Barton. Her great grandchildren Brady and Rylan Keith and Zander and Mia Pottle. All who knew her will miss her lively and optimistic spirit. .
